Coronavirus Response

With the growing concern over COVID-19, we understand that you may have questions about what we are doing as a dental practice to keep our patients safe.

In response to the Florida State mandate and Governor DeSantis’s directives regarding the COVID-19 crisis, we have temporarily closed our office.  Our staff will be reaching out to patients to reschedule any currently scheduled appointments. As of now, we will only be treating emergency patients by appointment only. At this time, we are planning on re-opening May 11th.

As our team members are observing the “Stay-at-home” recommendation, if you need to reach us, please leave a message. Someone from our office will be checking messages periodically during the day and will return your call. If you are having a dental emergency and are a patient of record, follow the directions to reach Dr. Altschuler.

During this temporary closure, we are modifying our office to increase everyones safety. We are installing two Air Scrubbers. Air Scrubbers have been proven to be effective in reducing bacteria, viruses and other pathogens on surfaces and in the air. It’s even effective against DNA and RNA viruses like the Swine Flu (H1N1), Avian Bird Flu (H5N8), Hepatitis A (HAV), and MS2 bacteriophage.

Air Scrubber Plus® with ActivePure™ technology is the latest advancement of a scientific breakthrough originally developed in cooperation with NASA for use in the International Space Station. ActivePure™ technology is recognized as the exclusive Certified Space Technology by the Space Foundation in its category.

We have also ordered Extra-oral suctions for each treatment room to greatly reduce aerosols produced during treatment.

We will continue to refer to the CDC, Florida Dental Association and local County recommendations to determine the safest course of action for all of our patients.

We are honored to take care of your dental needs and appreciate your understanding and consideration at this time.
